Sales Associate

Role Overview: 

The Sales Associate is a ‘front of house’ position. Sales duties include assisting customers, handling all types of transactions, ensuring the store is appropriately stocked and merchandised, making drinks on an espresso machine and maintaining the cafe. This role will work with Managers to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the sales floor and to set a welcoming and pleasant tone in the shop through their behavior, actions, and care for the space.

General Sales Responsibilities include:

• Greeting customers with generous hospitality and warmth. 

• Completing sales, returns, and exchanges. 

• Making cafe beverages and serving baked goods.

• Organizing and maintaining inventory backstock, storage, including basement and stock room. 

• Visual merchandising of retail spaces the store, in collaboration with other staff  

• Receiving & labeling new inventory

• Regular cafe service, cleaning, and customer care

• Keep cafe well stocked, alert Managers to low stock levels

• General care and cleaning of the space, windows, floors, equipment, plants, etc.

• Assisting with inventory by receiving new products, restocking the shelves, and putting products on display

Time Commitment: Part time, 3-4 days per week
Pay is commensurate with experience, starting at $18/hour. + tips & PTO.
Weekend availability is required
Food Handlers License is required
